This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of our Site (“Visitors”) who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site and make use of the various services offered by www.tolet.com.my (collectively, “Services”) (“Registered User”).

By using this Site, you consent to our Privacy Policy set out below. All terms not defined in this document have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Use Agreement between you and www.tolet.com.my, which by use of this Site you agree to accept.

“Personally Identifiable Information”
This refers to information that lets us know specifically who you are. In general, you can visit our Site without telling us who you are or revealing any Personally Identifiable Information. You may, however, voluntarily provide Personally Identifiable Information (such as name, e-mail address, and country of origin) for us to contact you, including via e-mail, to respond to your comments or inquiries. In such event, we might maintain a record of your contact, including such Personally Identifiable Information, in a file specific to you. We use this information to provide better service in the event you contact us again.

“Collected Information”
Any information we may collect from you through the use of cookies (refer sub section “Are Cookies and Web Beacons used on the Site?” below), or any other means, shall collectively be referred to as “Collected Information”.

How we use Collected Information?
In general, we use your Collected Information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze trends, gather broad demographic information, to statistically analyze site usage, to improve our content and product offerings and to customize our Site’s content, layout and service specifically for you. We may use your Collected Information to service your Account with us, including but not limited to investigating problems, resolving disputes and enforcing agreements with us.

We also use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, to make appropriate service offerings, and to fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and our Registered User about research or purchase and selling opportunities on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Registered User in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.

With whom may the information be shared?
Personally Identifiable Information about Registered User may be shared with other Registered User who wish to evaluate potential transactions with other Registered User. We may share aggregated information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Registered User, with our affiliated agencies and third party vendors. We also offer the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.

What organizations are collecting the information?
In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses and banks) who may provide such services as credit, insurance, and escrow services may collect this information from our Visitors and Registered User. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors and Registered User. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

What choices do Visitors have regarding collection, use and distribution of the information?
Visitors and Registered User may opt out of receiving unsolicited information from or being contacted by us and/or our vendors and affiliated agencies by responding to emails as instructed, or by contacting us at support@tolet.com.my

Are Cookies and Web Beacons used on the Site?
Cookies are used for a variety of reasons. We use Cookies to obtain and store specific information about our Visitors, their preferences, the services they select and track their visits to our Site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

We also use Cookies for security purposes to protect our Registered User. For example, if a Registered User is logged on and the site is unused for more than 10 minutes, we will automatically log the Registered User off.

We also use third party advertisements on tolet.com.my to support our site.

Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing Kuala Lumpur real estate ads to someone in Kuala Lumpur, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

DoubleClick DART cookies
We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (“interest based targeting”).

The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about building houses, you may see ‘building contractors’ advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”.

It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

What partners or service providers have access to Personally Identifiable Information from Visitors and/or Registered User on the Site?
www.tolet.com.my has entered into and will continue to enter into partnerships and other affiliations with a number of vendors. Such vendors may have access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need to know basis for evaluating Registered User for service eligibility. Our privacy policy does not cover their collection or use of this information.

We also reserve the right to disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Registered User.

How does the Site keep Personally Identifiable Information secure?
The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Registered User is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers, is protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet.

While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secured. As a result, while we try to protect your information, no web site or company, including ourselves, can absolutely ensure or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

How can Visitors correct any inaccuracies in Personally Identifiable Information?
Visitors and Registered User may contact us to update Personally Identifiable Information about them or to correct any inaccuracies by emailing us at support@tolet.com.my.

Registered User may also access their registered account with www.tolet.com.my.

Can a Registered User delete or deactivate Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Site?
We provide Registered User with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site’s database by contacting support@tolet.com.my. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a Visitor’s entry without retaining some residual information. An individual who requests to have Personally Identifiable Information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted, and we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?
Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated through our posting on the Site. Our posting of the amended and restated Privacy Policy will make such new Privacy Policy immediately effective. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that of a Visitor or Registered User has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such Visitor or Registered User to allow such Visitor or Registered User to prevent such disclosure.
